Changes to Judging Schedule:
Jimmy Byrnes will be replaced by Laura Cox (Ireland)
Val Burns will be replaced by Lawrence Llamas (Gibraltar)
Please note that Specialties will be conducted in the same way as the International shows with the same amount of GCC's on offer but obviously without the CACIB. The GCC obtained in the specialty shall count towards the national title as would a GCC obtained at the International event.
Championship rules in a nutshell:
Gibraltar Champion will require 2 GCC's regardless if the exhibit is already a champion in another country. However, GCC's will be automatically awarded to the class winners who achieve excellent 1st grading in Intermediate, Working, Open & Champion Class. This will mean that a maximum of 8 GCC's can be awarded in each breed with the exception of the following breeds who are seperated by variety/colour where more GCC's shall be on offer:
English Cocker Spaniels
American Cocker Spaniels
Chinese Crested Dog
Excellent 2nds will be automatically awarded the RGCC. In case the class winner is already a Gibraltar Champion on the day of the competition, The GCC shall be moved to the RGCC upon request.
Minor Puppies, Puppies, Juniors and Veterans will need to win their class with the maximum grading i.e. Very good for all puppies and excellent for Juniors and Veterans. Again, if the class winner is already a champion in that respective class, the reserve in the class shall obtain the title if it has achieved the maximum grading.
Minor Puppies are from 4-6 months
Puppies are from 6-9 months
